For healthy hair, do not brush your hair while it's wet. Wet hair is much more fragile, and this makes it more susceptible to breakage. Always brush you hair when it is dry to minimize damage. This means you need to brush it before you wash it, and wait until it is completely dry before brushing it again.

Trimming your hair does not affect how fast your hair grows. No matter how much you trim your hair, it grows at a rate of about half an inch each month. It may grow a bit faster during the summer, but in the end, your hormones dictate how quickly it grows, rather than how frequently you visit your stylist. Occasional trims can remove split ends, however, leaving your hair looking much healthier.

Try to use your hair dryer very often. Hot air from a blow dryer can really damage your hair, so try to let it dry naturally whenever possible. If you have to use your blow dryer, make sure it stays on the coolest setting, and avoid holding it over one section of hair for too long. To quickly dry your hair, before using a blow dryer you should towel dry it before hand.

A clarifying shampoo can help hair that has become dull. Usually when hair gets dull, it is because there's been a buildup of lots of different hair care products during a long period of time. To keep this from happening, apply a clarifying shampoo once or twice weekly. This will strip your hair of dirt or any other residue it might have accumulated.

When you get out of the ocean, if you like your hair after you've gotten out of the water, there are plenty of products which mimic the effects of saltwater. Products that contain salt are often meant to mimic beach hair. To create your own version of this solution, simply combine a teaspoon of salt and one cup (eight ounces) of water. Next, add approximately ten lavender oil drops, and you will have done it.

If your hair is looking dull and dingy, try using a clarifying shampoo. Lifeless, dull hair is usually caused by build-up of hair products. Y
